This will force pip install to use the upper-constraints.txt specified version of pip modules. When you don't do this, you are out on the bleeding edge and become unstable everytime some python library in the world changes in a way that you don't expect. The script is needed because it cleans up the conflicting entry that corresponds to the client before applying it to source based installation. This is a client library for Glance built on the OpenStack Images API. It provides a Python API (the ``glanceclient`` module) and a command-line tool (``glance``). This library fully supports the v1 Images API, while support for the v2 API is in progress.
Development takes place via the usual OpenStack processes as outlined in the `developer guide <http://docs.openstack.org/infra/manual/developers.html>`_. The master repository is in `Git <https://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/python-glanceclient>`_.
