Libvirt has implemented the capability to expose maximum number of SEV guests and SEV-ES guests in 8.0.0[1][2]. This allows nova to detect maximum number of memory encrypted guests using that feature. The detection is not used if the [libvirt] num_memory_encrypted_guests option is set to preserve the current behavior. Note that current nova supports only SEV and does not support SEV-ES, so this implementation only uses the maximum number of SEV guests. The maximum number of SEV-ES guests will be used in case we implement support for SEV-ES. .. Change things from this point on
OpenStack Nova provides a cloud computing fabric controller, supporting a wide
variety of compute technologies, including: libvirt (KVM, Xen, LXC and more),
Hyper-V, VMware and OpenStack Ironic.

Operators
---------
To learn how to deploy and configure OpenStack Nova, consult the documentation
available online at:
- `OpenStack Nova <https://docs.openstack.org/nova/>`__
In the unfortunate event that bugs are discovered, they should be reported to
the appropriate bug tracker. If you obtained the software from a 3rd party
operating system vendor, it is often wise to use their own bug tracker for
reporting problems. In all other cases use the master OpenStack bug tracker,
available at:
- `Bug Tracker <https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova>`__
Developers
----------
For information on how to contribute to Nova, please see the contents of the
CONTRIBUTING.rst.
Any new code must follow the development guidelines detailed in the HACKING.rst
file, and pass all unit tests.
